WHW donations pins depicting the months of January and July with their birthstones and the horoscope symbols. On the reverse of the pins are the months.

The WHW, "Winterhilfswerk" (Winter-help-work), was an annual charitable donation event held by the "NS-Volkswohlfahrt" (National Socialist - Peoples'-welfare) in which personnel from all of the NSDAP organizations would solicit donations from the public, and reward contributors with a wide variety of lapel badges or propaganda booklets

The organization would go door to door selling these pins for one or two pfennig.
