The German M41 rucksack is made of a heavy green cotton canvas. The German rucksack has a large main compartment with a pull string closure and two outer pockets also comes with all the leather straps, metal buckles and steel fittings.
It has it's own set of leather detachable leather shoulder straps or can be used with regular German WW2 y-straps and A frames. Derived from the Model 1931 Rucksack, the M41 Tornister (Knapsack) backpack became the standard pattern used by all units of the Wehrmacht and SS.
Has been nicely marked with maker stamp in the leather.
