GERMAN WWI BUTCHER BAYONET - ORIGINAL
German WWI M1898/05 Butcher bayonet - Maker marked but too hard to read - starts with the letter S.
This features a heavy 14.5-inch steel blade with distinct bulge known as a "butcher blade".
The original German First World War butcher blade bayonet was used with the Mauser Gewehr 98 (GEW 98) the standard issue service rifle of Imperial Germany.
This WWI German bayonet comes with nice original grooved wood grips.
